Scientists Finally Finished Sequencing Make Y Chromosome

The Y chromosome is the never ending source of fascination as it is mainly responsible for determining maleness and makes sperm.

Scientists with the use of long read sequencing techniques have finally provided a reliable sequence of why chromosomes.

The Y chromosome is male determining because it bears the SRY gene that helps to develop a ridge of the cells into testis in the embryo.

Females have a pair of XX chromosomes where males have xy chromosomes and this Y chromosome is very vital.

Why is the chromosome very different from the eggs and the other 22 chromosomes that are present in the human genome?

Y chromosomes are smaller than X chromosomes.

Y genes are present in multiple copies, some occur in the wire loop sequences in water and genetic accidents that duplicate or delete the jeans are common and there are also some genes which also seem to be critical for life.

It has a lot of DNA sequence which does not contribute to any traits that are called junk DNA which comprises highly repetitive sequences that are derived from bits and pieces of old viruses and dead genes.

The Electron Commission- autonomy in the Crosshairs.

Regarding the appointment of chief election commissioner and the election commissioner the supreme court of India meant on March directed that they will be appointed by president of India based on the advice of a committee made up of prime minister of India as head the leader of the opposition in the lok sabha and the other third pillar will be the chief justice of India.

Some people believe that this particular body tries to enhance the power of ECI and its constitutional status by overriding the power of the parliament to pass laws.

Article 324 of the Indian constitution has a provision for such law to be enacted by the parliament.

Therefore the present government introduced a bill in the rajya sabha in August, this Bill seeks to replace the chief justice of India from the high power selection committee.

In place of CJI, a union cabinet minister will be nominated by the prime minister in the committee.

According to the bill, the committee will be made up of the prime minister as chairperson, the Leader of Opposition in the lok sabha as a member and Union Cabinet Minister as another member.
